Carolina Footprints: the African-American Sasportas Family History

This book traces the journey of an African-American family and the surname that is attached to it - from it's European and North African origins across the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean and on to Calhoun Country in South Carolina. Severed from their ancestral family ties, the descendants of the Calhoun County Sasportas Branch managed to persevere and emerge as participants and contributors to all aspects of the American Experience.
